Long layered hair?

Okay, so I'm growing my hair out and I would like some pictures like this one http://images.funadvice.com/photo/image/...

to show my hairdresser what types of layers I want. I tell her to give me a lot of noticible layers but she never does it right. Maybe some pictures will show her how its done. :)
